Kastr is a social platform for premium, live video broadcasting. 

It sits at the intersection of professional content, brands, social influencers, and social networks. With a Director estimated global market of $11 billion that remains under-penetrated in Europe, Kastr aims to be positioned as the number one live interactive broadcaster in the world – a professional alternative to YouNow, Meerkat and Periscope.  Kastr seeks to revolutionise entertainment by building a live video stream platform for high quality content delivery, an engagement tool and community.

Along with its platform, Kastr is developing and intends to produce its own live, interactive programming formats with the goal of involving some of the biggest social media influencers in the world. Kastr anticipates that this content  will be seeded by partnerships with television networks, multi-channel networks (MCNs), studios, production companies, and record labels.

Founded by an experienced and connected team, and funded by one of Europe’s largest media companies, Kastr aims to change the underlying nature of online live content. With some of the most powerful and successful figures in social video already signed up to use the platform, the Directors believe this round presents an opportunity to partner with a dynamic team building a disruptive venture that could change an industry.
